SOUTH SUBURBAN MAJOR CRIME TASK FORCE

An intergovernmental agreement to have the Village take part with 40 other communities in the task force along with an invoice in the amount of $3000 to cover the initial expense and initial training was presented. Radio equipment so all departments are on the same band is also included.

President Murawski entertained a motion to authorize the Village President to enter into and sign the intergovernmental agreement joining the South Suburban Major Crime Task Force.

Motion made by Trustee Wilkins and seconded by Trustee Woike.

ROLL CALL: AYES: Trustees Potempa, Kreis, Woike, Wilkins, Valacak, and Stephens. NAYS: None. Motion carried.

President Murawski read memos from Attorney Sullivan regarding the following:

A Property Tax Exemption Certificate was received from the Illinois Department of Revenue on the Winker property.  A title insurance policy on the Cavallini property was received. The property is tax exempt for 1998. An invoice in the amount of $2727.45 from Attorney Sullivan for services from September 1997 to the present for handling the tax exemptions was included with the memo.
