If it ever stops raining perhaps summertime will arrive and the living will be easier...so, remember the monthly senior luncheons continue through the summer in air-conditioned, comfortable Raday Lodge, 145th and Kedzie. Why slave over a hot stove? Come on out and enjoy an appetizing, hearty meal provided by one of Midlothian's finest caterers, including dessert. Lunch is served at 11 AM. Following lunch, there is plenty of time for visiting and Bingo and you can still be home by 3-3:30 PM. Tickets are $7 per person and are available at the Midlothian Village Hall during normal business hours (M-F 9 AM-5 PM and Saturdays 9 AM-Noon). Plan to attend one of the coming luncheons that always have an appropriate theme. The luncheon dates for the balance of 2009 are on the following Fridays: June 12, July 10, Aug. 14, Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13, and Dec. 11.
Two senior clubs meet at Midlothian's Raday Lodge through the summer.
Community Seniors meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 10:30 AM until about 3:30 PM. Membership is $5 a year and those attending pay $1 at the door to cover the cost of refreshments and supplies.
Midlothian Buddies meet on the first and third Thursday of each month. Again, the meetings begin at 10:30 AM and end at about 3:30 PM. Dues are $5 annually and $1 at the door for refreshments.
Keep cool and keep connected with your friends over the summer.
