Trustee Bob McAdams will soon introduce regulations shortening the “grace period” granted owners of overgrown lots ordered to clean them. Not only are these neglected lots unsightly, but they produce weeds which are irritating to those with allergies. Plan ahead for spring, when the village will mount a “war on weeds” campaign. If the village has to clean a lot, a lien will be placed against the property, and a daily fine assessed.
