Among the many scams and con-games operating in our town to relieve you of your hard earned money is one claiming to “assist” the Midlothian Fire Department, and asking donations for a Valentine party for needy children. The Associated Firefights of Illinois does nothing for our community, warns MFD Chief Jack Schaeffner, who reminds that our fire department has ONLY ONE fundraising each year – a cash raffle in October.
