A well-structured Table Of Contents is designed to act closer to a dictionary structure in which each coded section takes on the role of a unique word and the description that follows takes on the role of definition.
A Table Of Contents can become keyword heavy and subsequently distracting, such as multiple line item entries for segments applying definition of terminology in the context of the materials contained in the book.
