National Night Out

* It is believed in good faith that the following content can be found in the Fall 2010 edition of the Tartan Tidings and is for general reference and/or research purposes only.  For further information regarding the information listed here, please contact The Village of Midlothian in Midlothian, Illinois. *

On the evening of August 4, Midlothian participated in its first National Night Out on the Village Green.  National Night Out has proven to be an effective, inexpensive, and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation.  Communities all across the country plan events for the night of the first Tuesday in August.  Our Community Policing Committee (CPC) put together an enjoyable evening with public safety equipment on display, equestrian patrol, music, handouts, and an opportunity to gather in support of a safer Midlothian.  The Midlothian CPC is walking as a group around various sections of town to be a presence against crime in our community.  Thank you, CPC.
