Handout of government cheese, butter, rice, honey etc. is normally the second Thursday of each month at Firehouse #2, beginning at 10 a.m.  Recent changes in criteria dictate that all recipients must show an eligibility card which is obtainable only after poverty level families show proof of their incomes and are certified at the village hall.  There are severe penalties for falsification.  It should be noted that these foodstuffs are for poverty level families of any age, not exclusively senior citizens.
